Love's in the air!
HI EVERYONE!!! It's Gazel and Harmoni here! I know it's been such a long time since we ever published something but we are here now!!!! I know missed us.....I just know.........
Today is a stressful day for us because the day after tomorrow is mothers day and we NEED to finish our cards. So right now we are making our cards and we need to finish them today! Also our parents are coming in at 9:45am so we can show them around the school. Just to tell you mothers day is on Sunday in Australia if you were confused and your in a different country.
Mother's Day is a day to let loose,
It's a day of impatience in the car,
It's a day to love your mother,
It's a day of relaxation,
It's a day to smile,
It's a day that your dad's stress.
That was a poem that our whole class made by accident.....so we can't take the credit for it.
Here is Harmonii's poem:
Dearest mum,
you've always been there for me,
making me dinner and eating it with me,
From crawling to walking,
Buying things for me,
Helping me up when i have have my worst falls.
You drive me everywhere,
Fun things after fun things,
cooking lovely meals day after day,
night after night,
Thank you is the only word i can say.
I'll love you forever,
Never forget you,
I love you, I love you, I love you,
Even more and better than my bedroom,
even more than my CDs and CD player,
even more than my shower,
Yes even more than my ipod!
This is Gazel's peom:
Dearest Mum,
You're my heart and soul,
My key to happiness,
My love and joy,
Your always there,
For me to hug,
To kiss,
To love,
You're my angel from above.
We always do everything I love,
Cooking stir fry on the stove,
Taking me to the library,
Watching T.V with me,
Teaching me new things everyday,
Even if it takes all day,
You're the daisy in my hair,
You're the smile on my face,
You're my idol to follow.
Since you've heard our poems already, let me (Gazel) describe what mother's day feels like, sounds like, and tastes like:
The birds sing during mother's day, it's a day of relaxation, and it's a day to thank our mothers.
That's all for now, Gazel and Harmoni out!!!
What are you doing for your mother???
Are you stressed out??? ............. =)

Anzac day
Anzac day is a day for remembering the soilders that fought in the war and also fought for our rights and country. Anzac is not just for remembering Australian soldiers it is also a remembering of New Zealand soldiers who helped us during the wars. It is polite to wear a special flower known as the poppy to show commitment to our soldiers.

Here is a story about a boy called William who joined the army at 16, leaving his mother and grandfather at a farm. William joined the army becuase he wanted to show respect to his family and save his country. He travelled to Egypt to complete complex training in the heat. Some people passed away during the heated conditions. The rest of the soldiers travelled to Europe to fight with his fellow teamates. On the way he wrote letters to his family to inform them that he was still alive. After four years of hard fought war, the guns went silent and the war ended. The final letter that William wrote was to his grandfather about how hard the war was and how proud he was of himself.
We must respect the soliders that fought for our country so on Anzac day we must pay our respect by having a minute of silence.

Awsome word wall!!!
Hey I've got a question? Do you have a word wall? If you don't how do you get your fantastic words from your class room we have the most interesting word wall. The reason why you should have a word wall: it is to make your writing more spectacular to read. Don't you agree with me?
Plus some of the words on it go in your brain and gives you a idea what to right about. The more useful words that pop in your brain the better your writing gets. The most horrible words that will not fit on the word wall is good, big, happy, bad, sad and play.
Why wouldn't you have a word wall. If you do a word wall you will see how much awesome and remarkable your writing will be and from that one word that is on your head the easier it will get for you to write. Also it can help you by read because some words that are on the word wall are in some of the books you read.
This might sound funny but it can help you when you are some where where lot of use words on the top of the roof on titles of chapter book or even picture books. So the more words you find the more easier it is for you to write. These are the top 7 best words: awesome, remarkable, outstanding, energetic, outrageous, psychedelic and fabulous.

Our awesome amazing school
Hey you! Yeah you! Do you know how our school looks like? Well today we will be talking about how our school looks like!!
Well our school has three main buildings which is the 3-6 building, the prep building and the 1/2 building. In the 3-6 building there are twelve classrooms, an office area, a staffroom, an I.C.T room and lastly our libary. In the prep building there are six classrooms and in the 1/2 building there are fourteen rooms and two kitchens.
We also have a science room, two toilet blocks (one for the preps, the ones and the twos and the other for the 3-6s), an oval, an ashphelt (or some schools call it a quadrangle) and a pergola. If you didn't know an oval is like a giant backyard, it has plenty of space so you can play footy and cricket and theres still plenty of space! It has a playground or two a fitness trrack and a sandpit.
Oh wait we all most forgot! We have a canteen, music room and a phiscal educaton room. Our canteen has loads of food in it! Most people go to the canteen when it is a 30 degree (celsius that is!) day. They have all types of food like noodles, icy poles, chips, hotdogs, pies and jjs. Our music room has loads of musical instuments like rhythm sticks, drums, ukelaele and many more! Our phys ed room can fit in all of our school!! It also holds all of our sporting equipment in it.
If you were going to our school what would your favourite area be?
See ya soon!!

Green Girls
Hello, in our school we have green girls.
If you don't know what green girls are well they are kind of like a JSC but they do more than the JSC do in our opinion. There are a whole bunch of things green girls do like they take a whole bunch of meetings. They take it seriously, they clean up the school then there can be a clean spot or even better a whole school. They help others, they also ask people to help clean upthe school when they need help and so are school can be healthy. The green girls got their badges on Friday so people know who the green girls are ol.The green girls are in each grade in the grade 5/6 area, which is awesome. We got 2 green girls in our amazing class WOW. The leader of the green girls is Mr Cox, he is amazing. The green girls badges are green with white writing with a tree with leaves on it.
These are some of the dot points we came up with why we love are green girls :
Green girls help others by telling people to clean up the school because we don't want our school to be dirty. If you want green girls to help you with cleaning up the school you should ask them to help you or they should ask you if you need help. I will tell you something here it goes, once there was no green girls at our school and then we got green girls in our school. We have a "bin it" once a month, during which the green girls hand out stickers and if you do a great job of cleaning you get a trash pack from the green girls. You only get them if you pick up two bags or more of rubbish. The green girls help the plants by telling students to get out of the garden. They help the school by emptying out the compost bin, the paper bin and the rubbish bin. Also they take ideas from the students and bring them to the meetings and try to make them come true.
Do you like green girls? Do you have green girls in your school?
If you do who are they? If you do how many do you have?

WOW!!! Exotic Stick Buddies!!!
Hi!!
This is Gazel and Harmonii speaking! I hope you guys missed us! Did you know that we just got stick buddies yesterday? They are spectacular!!
When I took them home one of them turned green and my mum got freaked out! I thought it was soo weird. Do you want to know a interesting fact about stick buddies? Surely you do and that's what we assumed. When they sleep they turn they're head all the way around and here's something grotesque: when they eat little wriggly worm things come out of they're mouthes and grab eucalyptus leaves and eat them.
They also do wobbly dances that are hilarous! You should see them when you pick them up. They just won't come off your hands. One of them does impressive wobbly dances all the time and one just disgracefully lazes about under a leaf. They can camouflage in their enviroment to avoid danger. That's why one of them turned green! When they are upside down it means they are very comfortable.
When you take them home you have to spray their eucalyptus leaves with water because they drink water using the leaves otherwise they'll become dehydrated. You also have to change their leaves about every week otherwise the leaves become old and wrinkly. The way we keep the moisture in the leaves is we have a tub of water in the tank. =)
That's all for now,
Gazel and Harmoni out!
What do you think we should name our stick buddies?
What do you think we should write about next?
Comment down below but remember it has to be about school! ^_^

Bat tennis was also a draw but both teams showed excellent play and fantastic sportsmanship. Both teams couldn't believe that it was a draw and Melton West were saying how they could improve next time and win against Coburn if we play them again.
Overall Melton West was extremely excited with their performance. So were the teachers. WELL DONE MELTON! Who do you want to win the lightning premiership in all interschool sports?
